Has Google Done It Again?

I just tried Google's beta mapping service and I'm impressed.

Its user interface is typically Google-lean, it's lightning quick and the maps can be scrolled and zoomed in real time. They're clearly drawn with major routes and highways color coded. Hungry for some Thai food? The Local Search function lists the appropriate businesses in your area (with phone numbers) and plots them on the map. In my limited tests, directions were clear and accurate. And (lest you miss anything) there's a little tour of Google Maps' features.

As a beta, it's a little buggy. I noticed that pages often loaded with errors and that certain features didn't always work. Even so, it's another potential Google hit.
